Jennifer Lawrence is featured in some badass 70's gear in this new Google Play featurette from X-Men: Days of Future Past called "A Fitting Story." The clip is all about outfitting the extras in authentic 70's clothing for a complicated scene in an airport and we get a great look at Jennifer behind the scenes.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire took home 3 Golden Popcorn statuettes at the MTV Movie Awards tonight in Los Angeles! Sadly, even with ALL of your hard work to vote Katniss in as Favorite Character, Tris ended up taking the category. We know who OUR favorite character is though, right tributes? #KatnissForever

Josh gave a little tribute to Philip Seymour Hoffman in his acceptance speech for Catching Fire saying, "I know that if Philip were here, he would think this is really cool. To have him in our movies was one of the coolest things in the world. He’s one of the actors I’ve looked up to my entire life. We think about him every day on set. Wherever he is, this definitely goes out to him as well."
Another fantastic interview: Josh and Sam talk to MTV's Josh Horowitz backstage. Whoops, nice spoiler Josh. "You're dead."

Raw footage of the press room at the MTV Movie Awards. Sam and Josh come in around 10:47 and then Josh is photgraphed alone immediately after until about 13:40. Watch with the sound off to avoid the screaming paps:
Your next question is probably, "When is the Mockingjay teaser trailer coming?" Ours, too! I wish we knew for sure. Nothing about a trailer has been officially confirmed as of press time. The only information we have at this point is from the article we posted back in Jan in which the Mockingjay team discusses the marketing plan and confirms the Cannes Film Festival as a place where at least SOMETHING from Mockingjay marketing will be revealed. We'll keep you updated!
At least we'll see Jennifer Lawrence in A teaser trailer at the MTV Movie Awards. Though the entire Hunger Games fandom has been hoping for a Mockingjay teaser trailer at the MTV Movie Awards this Sunday, looks like at least we'll be able to see our lead actress in a just-announced exclusive teaser trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past. Ellen Page will be on hand to introduce a never-before-seen clip from the upcoming mutant extravaganza at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Sunday, April 13.

Jennifer Lawrence is also front and center in full Mystique regalia on Entertainment Weekly's Summer Movie Issue (above). From the issue:
With the X-Men hunted in the distant future by mutant-killing robots called the Sentinels, Wolverine (Jackman) is sent back in time to his 1973 body to stop Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) from assassinating the inventor of the Sentinels, Bolivar Trask (Game of Thrones‘ Peter Dinklage). Keeping Trask alive prevents a devastating war between mutants and humans — and keeps Mystique among the do-gooding mutants. As Kinberg explains, “A lot of people have an emotional investment in her not going to the dark side.”
Jennifer Lawrence is featured in Martha Stewart Weddings Real Weddings Spring 2014 Special Issue in a story about her brother Blaine Lawrence’s wedding to Carson Massler back in October 2013. She looks so beautiful!
UPDATE: Some new photos from the wedding thanks to j-lawperfection on tumblr!
Thanks to oscarwinnerjenniferlawrence for the tip!
Three new character posters for X-Men: Days of Future Past feature Jennifer Lawrence's character Raven/Mystique looking beautiful in blue. The film opens in theaters on May 23.
Thanks to SuperHeroHype for the posters.
Josh Hutcherson was on Kentucky Sports Radio this morning talking about his beloved Wildcats basketball team and I don't believe I've ever heard that boy sound so fired up. As he says several times in the audio, he bleeds blue! Love to hear how he trash talked (trash texted?) with Jennifer Lawrence during one of their big rivalries.
This is audio only.
Hooray! New Mockingjay set photos are here! Thanks to the Daily Mail we have a peek at The Hunger Games: Mockingjay set in Atlanta and a tiny sliver of Jennifer Lawrence's beautiful mug inside a voluminous hood (most of the pics feature her stunt double), some Peacekeepers and Capitol citizens.
Looks like Jackson Spidell, who played our District 10 tribute in Catching Fire and was Sam Claflin's stunt double is also playing a Peacekeeper in Mockingjay. He has his helmet off in the photo below.
The large stone objects above are called Czech hedgehogs. They are an anti-tank defense that were widely used by Soviets in World War II. Czech hedgehogs were especially effective in urban combat, where a single hedgehog could block an entire street. They became a symbol of "defence at all cost" in the Soviet Union. Sounds like a perfect fit for The Capitol. (thanks to our followers Don Carpenter and Liam Baker for this info!)
Looks like MTV is throwing Katniss fans a bone by adding a new category to the MTV Movie Awards, Favorite Character. When the nominations for the MTV Movie Awards were announced, Catching Fire nabbed 7 of them, but we were all pretty surprised that Jennifer Lawrence hadn't been nominated as Best Hero for her performance as Katniss. There was even a very successful petition by Sophie Azran to get her added. Is this our compromise?
You can vote for Katniss in the new category Best Character HERE or vote with the hashtags #votekatniss on Twitter, Instagram and Vine. The best photos and videos from your social media will be featured on this page. The winner of this award will be announced on Sunday April 13th.

Jennifer Lawrence sent her hometown college basketball team, the Louisville Cardinals, a little inspiration as they started March Madness.
The 23-year-old Oscar winner was proud to cheer on the University of Louisville in the NCAA tournament, and even sent a photo of herself to the school where she's throwing up a Louisville "L" and wearing the school's signature gear, the Daily Caller reports.
Theme Park Connection is hosting an ebay auction of over 800 costume pieces from The Hunger Games set, and part of the auction is supposed to be 23 Script Supervisor "continuity books" from the film featuring thousands of behind the scenes photos from the set.
The listing had been taken down at press time but we have a bunch of the photos from the books thanks to our friends at Real or Not Real News. They're fascinating!
Want more info on the auction? Go to ThemeParkConnection or check out their ebay store HERE. When we checked out the auction they had lots of little items like tees, Capitol citizens' hats and ties, etc, but nothing too impressive had been listed yet. The coolest items we saw were a Peacekeeper helmet and boots and an Avox outfit.
A new picture from the Mockingjay set featuring Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, and one cute puppy was tweeted yesterday then quickly deleted. The tweeter said that they were holding her grandmother's dog.
When the nominations for the MTV Movie Awards were announced last week, we were excited about the 7 noms The Hunger Games: Catching Fire received but were scratching our heads over a couple big omissions. Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen was not nominated for Best Hero? What?! Seemed a little strange considering Catching Fire is the first film with a female lead to top the box office in 4 decades.
Leave it to our passionate fandom to not take this lying down. Sophie Azran, a college student and one of our favorite members of The Hunger Games fandom (and amazing graphic artist, check out her tumblr), started a petition to get Katniss added to the nominations for Best Hero. The petition reads:
There is not a single woman in the Hero Category. Don't let a strong woman like Katniss be overlooked!
Please sign and share this petition before April 13 to demand that MTV add Katniss Everdeen to the "Best Hero" category at the MTV Movie Awards.
Young women already have too few female heroes represented in film and television. We're constantly shown by the entertainment industry that men are brave, powerful, or successful, while women are often given supporting roles and weak characters.
I loved The Hunger Games, not just because it was a thrilling story, but because I admired the courage, intelligence, and persistence of Katniss Everdeen. Teen girls and young women everywhere need to see that courageous, principled women can be rewarded just like men.
The MTV Movie Awards are widely watched by a young adult audience. It's appalling to me that the event's producers are ignoring this female hero, especially since this film beat out all the others at the box office. But unlike the Oscars, the MTV Movie awards encourages public involvement, allowing the public to vote on winners. If enough of us ask for Katniss to be added, I'm confident that MTV will listen.
And it's getting national attention. E! News ran the story today, and TheWrap and IBTimes ran stories about it as well.
Feel the same? Sign the petition HERE. We did!

The magic of movie making. #Katniss and #Peeta on their chariot!Marian Green (District 9 female tribute) posted a couple of cool behind the scenes Catching Fire photos to her twitter today. They show Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Marian and her fellow D9 tribute, Daniel Bernhardt, filming the chariot scene.
As we learned in a recent Flickering Myth post, the actors, horses and chariots were about the only things not digitally created for the Avenue of the Tributes scene. The magic of movies, indeed!
Entertainment Weekly has released two new short clips from The Hunger Games: Catching Fire Blu-Ray exclusive making-of documentary "Surviving The Game." Those little stinkers didn't make the video embeddable so you'll have to watch it over at EW.com or click the image above.
