Sam Claflin is Glamour's Man of the Year + Natalie Dormer

Congratulations to Sam Claflin, Man of the Year at the GLAMOUR Awards 2014!

Sam walked the red carpet with his wife Laura Haddock, and talked about about the duo’s red carpet process.

“It’s a lot of shouting at one another ‘get me a cup of tea’; it’s not actually very stressful!” he shared.

Sam continued, “A guy and a girl, it’s a very different process. It’s easy for me to choose a suit but when she walks down the stairs, it’s like ‘wow’.” Cue the awws!

His Mockingjay and The Riot Club co-star Natalie Dormer was on hand to present him the award tonight.See it at the 3:21 mark in the video below.

Natalie talks a little about the Thai people adopting the Hunger Games salute as their symbol of revolution in the video below at about 1:24. Then Sam talks about Katniss Everdeen and Jennifer Lawrence at 1:39. If you're a Game of Thrones fan (guilty), you can see Sophie Turner adorably fangirl over her co-star, Natalie Dormer right after.

More video from the red carpet. Natalie and Sam talk about how nice it is to see each other dressed up instead of "running around with you in dirt and sewage and black stuff on our faces."

Jeffrey Wright's Live Web Chat With L.A. Times

Jeffrey Wright did a live web chat with L.A. Times' Glenn Whipp today, and he spoke to us from his trailer on the Mockingjay set at Tempelhof Airport in Berlin. Jeffrey says he's finished shooting all of his scenes from Mockingjay Part 1 and is on to Mockingjay Part 2 and that they have "a little over a month" left of shooting.

Jeffrey starts talking about Mockingjay at about 13:47.

Wright said that, "people have a more personal relationship with this material" than any other project that he's done. He shared, "In Mockingjay, this world, this society, that's been created by these books is now completely undone. It's now set ablaze."

On Jennifer Lawrence: "This is a wonderful cast led by Jennifer Lawrence. And fortunately she is just, beyond being an intensely interesting actor, she's a riot and one of the funniest people you ever hope to meet."

On Beetee: "He has a sense of clarity about his response to this unjust society and the oppression of the Capitol. There's a sensitivity about him that conflicts with the brutality of his work."

The Sporting Light Appeal is a local Norfolk charity that raises money for the Community Sports Foundation (CSF) to use sport to improve the quality of life for those who need it most in the area. Looks like Sam had a great time at the event!

Join Jeffrey Wright For a Live Web Chat on Tuesday, May 27

Jeffrey Wright will be joining LA Times for a live Web chat on Tuesday at 10 a.m. PDT about his role as underworld figure Dr. Valentin Narcisse on "Boardwalk Empire."

The LA Times says they'll also mix in a Hunger Games question or two:

Wright will be returning for the two-part Mockingjay conclusion to the mammoth series. Wright's character, electronics expert Beetee Latier, survived the 75th Hunger Games - barely. Before accepting the part, Wright - who had appeared in the James Bond movies Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace - had to be convinced by his agent that The Hunger Games was actually bigger than Bond. We're guessing he just might have a fuller idea of the series' scope now.

An Insider's View of the 'Mockingjay' Party at Cannes

Jennifer, Francis, Josh & Liam thanks to http://staywithmealwayslove.tumblr.com/We're hearing a lot about the Mockingjay party at Cannes from those who attended the Lionsgate soiree on Saturday night.

Variety reports:

The hot ticket at the Cannes Film Festival was the Saturday night “Hunger Games” party hosted by Lionsgate that was such an extravaganza it would have made Jay Gatsby jealous.

A look at the new MJ pin thx to Total FilmAfter receiving a Mockingjay pin, guests were transported by buses to a sprawling $340 million mansion in Antibes owned by a Russian oligarch. The property, located on the Mediterranean Sea, was prominently decorated with “Hunger Games” posters and logos, not to mention a staff in goth costumes from the film.

“This party is like the Capitol at its worst,” quipped Jennifer Lawrence. She spent most of the night in a VIP area with her co-stars Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth, dancing and lip syncing to tunes from Missy Elliot and Whitney Houston.

Producer Nina Jacobson, who optioned the rights to the books from author Suzanne Collins, said the cast had just arrived from a month in Paris, where they had been concurrently filming Mockingjay: Parts 1 and 2.
